WHO TB SRL Copenhagen

International Reference Laboratorie of Mycobacteriology (IRLM) at Statens Serum Institut carries out international reference functions for WHO as a TB Supranational Reference Laboratory (SRL).

Since 1994, the WHO SRL Network has grown to be a key technical resource in supporting the strengthening of TB laboratory capacity in countries worldwide. Under WHO coordination and support, the Network today has expanded to comprise 28 SRLs and four National Centres of Excellence (NCE-SRL), largely driven by regional initiatives and institutional interest (see below SRL Network list).
