Experimental infection models

SSI has state of the art laboratories and animal facilities. We offer design, planning and execution of in vivo experimental infection studies. These models can be used for studying host pathogen interactions, host responses, bacterial virulence and antibiotic treatment.

Murine infection models

  • Peritonitis/Sepsis
  • Thigh infection
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Skin infection
  • Pneumonia
  • Fungal sepsis
  • Colon colonization

Examples of human pathogens used infection models

  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Enterococcus faecalis

Skin infection model

  • Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
