Research and development at a high international level is important for ensuring effective prevention and control of infectious diseases and for further developing Statens Serum Institut's (SSI) business activities.
Therefore, SSI is one of Denmark's largest research institutions in health.
Some of the most important key figures are:
- In 2020, SSI spent 285,7 million DKK on research and development - hereof 121 million DKK derived from Danish and international funds.
- In 2020, SSI published 378 research articles.
- SSI contributes with a large number of thesis- and PhD students as well as doctoral theses each year.
