Areas of Responsibility
Head of Laboratory of Gastrointestinal Bacteria and Contributes to the national investigation and control of foodborne outbreaks in Denmark through the Central Outbreak Management Group, a collaboration between Statens Serum Institut (SSI), the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA), and the National Food Institute at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Food).
The laboratory receives and processes bacterial isolates for the national laboratory-based surveillance of enteric infections in Denmark, including:
- Characterization of enteric pathogenic bacteria
- Reference diagnostics related to gastrointestinal pathogenic bacteria
- Veterinary emergency preparedness related to selected bacterial infections
- Detection of foodborne outbreaks
- Antimicrobial resistance i gastrointestinal pathogenic bacteria
- Contributes to the national investigation and control of foodborne outbreaks in Denmark through the Central Outbreak Management Group, a collaboration between Statens Serum Institut
- (SSI), the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA), and the National Food Institute at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Food).
