Secure communication with SSI

If your inquiry to Statens Serum Institut (SSI) contains sensitive or confidential information about yourself or another person (e.g., personal ID numbers or health information), you should always use secure communication. Read more about secure communication with SSI below.

Digital Post

You can contact SSI securely via Digital Post. Learn more about Digital Post on the website of the Danish Agency for Digital Government.

When sending Digital Post to SSI, select the appropriate contact point for your inquiry. The contact points will appear when you choose SSI as the recipient.

If you have received "Information about processing of personal data" from SSI and have questions about the content, please use the contact point “Borgerhenvendelser”.

If you are unsure which contact point to use, please select the main contact point for SSI ("hovedpostkasse").

Physical mail

If you are exempt from using Digital Post or prefer to communicate via physical mail, this is also a secure method of communication.

SSI’s address is:

Statens Serum Institut
Artillerivej 5
2300 København S

If your inquiry is directed to a specific department or person, please include this information on the envelope as well.

Response times

SSI will respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible.

If you exercise your rights under data protection rules (GDPR), you are generally entitled to a response within one month. This time limit applies e.g. if you have requested information about the data we process about you or asked for data to be deleted.

In some cases, the response time may be extended by an additional two months, up to a maximum of three months. If the response time is extended, we will inform you directly within the first month.

Fraudulent text messages

If you receive a text message appearing to be from SSI and containing a link, do not click on the link!

SSI does not send text messages to citizens with links included.

These are so-called "smishing" attempts, where cybercriminals try to trick you into clicking a malicious link to obtain your personal information. Do not click on the link in the text message or reply to it. Instead, delete the text message.

If you receive a fraudulent text message, please inform SSI by emailing SSIdatabeskyttelse@ssi.dk (include "Fraudulent SMS" in the subject line).
