Responsibilities

Head of outbreak unit in the Section of Food- and Waterborne and Zoonotic Infections at the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Prevention.

Responsibilities include:

• To detect and investigate disease outbreaks
• Coordinate the national response for investigation of food- and waterborne outbreaks in Denmark in the Central Outbreak Management Group (Collaboration between Statens Serum Institut, The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and the Food Institute at DTU)
• Surveillance of foodborne infections such as salmonella, hepatitis A and botulism
• Responsible for SSI’s interview center
