Bench Fee Policy at Statens Serum Institut

The Bench Fee Policy at Statens Serum Institut (SSI) ensures transparent and consistent cost recovery for research projects funded by external grants. Bench fees cover the essential research infrastructure and services that enable high-quality scientific work — including laboratory operations, technical support, equipment, and compliance services — but exclude salaries and general overheads.

For 2025, the standard bench based on actual cost data from 2024. The rate may be adjusted depending on the scope of the project and funder requirements.

The policy supports fairness, transparency, and sustainability in SSI’s externally funded research.
