Rabies Website Updated

SSI’s website on rabies and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) has been updated.

The website contains information on indications for PEP, PEP treatment and vaccination schedules, including the use of human rabies immunoglobulin. In addition, it provides information on vaccination, as well as on the distribution of PEP and procedures in cases of suspected rabies exposure from animals in Denmark and abroad.

New updates:

• The website has been supplemented with an overview of relevant information that should preferably be available when contacting Statens Serum Institut in connection with the provision of rabies PEP.

• An overview of WHO exposure categories has also been added to support the assessment of indications for PEP treatment.
