The Danish National Biobank launches podcast for researchers

To spread the word about the unique research opportunities in the Danish National Biobank, and help inspire future collaborations, we are now launching a podcast that invites listeners inside, right next to some of the research collaborations taking place at the biobank.

Biobanken 01

With this podcast we aim to open the eyes (and ears) of new researchers to the unique research opportunities that are available through the biobank.

Two episodes of the new podcast are already available.

The first episode dives into Mitochondrial DNA research on mental disorders as part of the larger iPSYCH project, and how that research helped scientists understand the origin and biological ancestry of the Danish population. Principal Investigator Michael Christiansen, Chief Physician at SSI, tells the story.

In the second episode Professor Anne Tjønneland of the Danish Cancer Society talks about the study Diet, Cancer and Health and its recent extension Next Generations, and about the power we all have over cancer as individuals, through lifestyle choices we make.

The podcast, Step Inside The Danish National Biobank, will be available in all major podcast apps and can also be found at the following address:
