EU-WISH International Workshop and Consortium Meeting
We are pleased to invite you to the 1st EU-WISH International Workshop and Consortium Meeting, which will take place in Dublin, Ireland, from September 9th to September 11th, 2025.
Purpose and Objectives
The International Workshop will bring together key stakeholders, including representatives from international organizations, public health institutions, and research entities, to:
- Prioritize surveillance targets, including respiratory viruses, AMR, and chemical substances, with a focus on geographical and technical aspects.
- Explore the integration of wastewater-based surveillance data into public health frameworks, with insights from international and cross-sectoral perspectives.
- Foster collaboration to address shared challenges in public health preparedness and response.
Key Agenda Highlights
Day 1: Prioritization
Moderated breakout sessions on key surveillance targets, including emerging pathogens, AMR, and chemical substances. High-level discussions on the role of wastewater-based surveillance in public health.
Day 2: Integration into Public Health
Sessions on integration of surveillance tools and capacity building for sustainable systems. Breakout discussions on actionable strategies for integrating surveillance outcomes into public health policies.
This workshop is part of the EU-WISH Joint Action, funded under the European Union's EU4Health Programme, focusing on wastewater-based surveillance for public health.
Day 3: Consortium Meeting
This day is primarily for EU-WISH partners and will be an opportunity to internally follow up on the International Workshop and other relevant tasks for the consortium, as well as to have the yearly General Assembly.
Registration
Please fill in the registration and consider which Breakout Sessions you want to join. We encourage you to register no more than one person pr. country pr. Breakout Session. So please coordinate between the Beneficiary and Affiliated Entities in each country.
Registration deadline is EOB May 30th. To avoid capacity issues, the organisers might approach Beneficiaries from countries with a high number of registered participants and request a reduction in number of participants.
