Research Areas

My research is focused on nationwide investigation of efficacy and safety of statins and the potential of statins to interact with other pharmaceuticals and cause adverse effects. I have previously conducted clinical research to investigate biological mechanisms behind muscular side effects to statin therapy and my early work focused on effects of physical training on metabolic risk factors and mitochondrial adaptations in adipose tissue and skeletal muscle.
