Purpose

The department handles prediagnostic functions and provides support services in the form of administrative assistance, process optimization and both internal and external communication for the areas Biobank & Biomarkers and Infectious Disease Preparedness.

Tasks

Prediagnostic functions

Reception and registration of all diagnostic samples and reference samples sent to Statens Serum Institut
Preparation of diagnostic samples and reference samples
Code list maintenance (NPU codes, MDS codes and local codes)
Operation and support of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
